Deluge: Threnody of Crashing Waves is a mystery visual novel with psychological and cosmic horror elements. You play as Abe, a young journalist investigating the dark secrets of a remote village with a troubled past.

MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE

Deluge is a psychological, Lovecraftian mystery visual novel featuring characters with distinct personalities—from local politicians to young journalists—who speak with an elevated, formal vocabulary. The narrative is heavily enriched with religious and philosophical quotes that reinforce this tone.

My greatest challenge was integrating these complex references and maintaining this sophisticated language for each character while keeping the text accessible, engaging, and easy to follow for the Brazilian visual novel audience.
